More than 500 donors supported Bethesda’s recent Hearts for Our Homes fundraising campaign, with gifts exceeding $100,000.
Funds raised though the campaign are used to help keep Bethesda’s seniors living in a Bethesda community, even when they have depleted their resources. Donors who contributed $50 or more received a leatherette notebook, and employees who donated at least 1% of their pay received a free vacation day.
“The real winners are our seniors, who we ensure continue to have a home with Bethesda,” says Patrick Bush (pictured above signing his pledge form), who has worked in the housekeeping department at Bethesda Meadow for more than 20 years. Patrick has consistently supported the Hearts for Our Homes campaign, and this year he showed how close the campaign is to his heart by donating 100 hours of his earned time off, which equates to 4% of his salary.
“Pat is one of those committed employees. His passion for his job and for our seniors shine through,” says Charlotte Busch, Senior Human Resources Manager at Bethesda Meadow.
