Each year, the Bethesda Women’s Board gifts thoughtful and much-needed items with the goal of enhancing the lives of those living in our Bethesda communities. In 2023, skilled nursing residents at Bethesda Southgate, memory care residents at Bethesda Hawthorne Place, and independent living residents at Bethesda Barclay House and Pacific Place benefited from their generosity and dedication to Bethesda seniors.
Smart TV with Bluetooth Capability — Gifted to Bethesda Southgate
The television in Bethesda Southgate’s dining room is used for countless purposes: movie nights, games, sing-a-longs, presentations, and more. With this gift from the Women’s Board, Southgate residents now have a television with a larger screen, better sound, and more capabilities to better support activities. Plus, the old television now lives in a staff meeting room, providing opportunities for virtual presentations and calls.
Hanging Umbrella — Gifted to Bethesda Hawthorne Place
Bethesda Hawthorne Place features a beautiful courtyard for Memory Care residents to enjoy. And with the gift of a hanging umbrella, more sunny days can be spent outside in comfort.
Resistance Chair — Gifted to Bethesda Barclay House and Pacific Place
The fitness centers at Bethesda Barclay House and Pacific Place got an upgrade with brand new resistance chairs, giving the residents more ways to lead healthy lifestyles and remain active.
