The home health agency celebrated its 10th anniversary on Wednesday, August 29, with a gathering that included the agency’s employees, leadership from Bethesda Health Group and St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors, and, of course, cake!
Deni O’Malley, Director of St. Andrews & Bethesda Home Health, shared statistics from the agency’s first 10 years of service:
- 160,000 patient visits
- 120,000 hours of care
- 7,200,000 minutes of care
- 8,500 patients treated
In 2017, nurses and aides drove approximately 87,000 miles to provide home care (more than 3.5 times around the Earth!).
St. Andrews & Bethesda Home Health was created collaboratively by Bethesda Health Group and St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors, as leadership from both non-profit, St. Louis-based senior living, care and service organizations recognized an opportunity to provide vital home health services to seniors after discharge from a rehab community, hospital stay or whose physician believes they are appropriate.
