Bethesda Health Group announces the sale of Bethesda Meadow, a distinguished skilled-nursing and post-acute rehabilitation community in Ellisville, Mo., to Green Tree Healthcare Management effective July 1, 2024. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The move comes as part of Bethesda’s strategic effort to streamline operations and focus on a combination of demand, need and efficiency to best care for St. Louis seniors.
Bethesda Meadow has garnered accolades, including recognition as one of the Best Nursing Homes in America by Newsweek Magazine and U.S. News & World Report. Bethesda Meadow, as a member of Bethesda, is among the “Best Places to Work in St. Louis” by the St. Louis Business Journal. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services most currently awarded Bethesda Meadow a commendable 4-star quality measures rating.
Green Tree manages eight skilled nursing communities nationwide, including two not-for-profit facilities located in Jefferson City, and has demonstrated a close alignment with Bethesda’s commitment to quality.
Bethesda and Green Tree will collaborate closely to ensure a smooth transition for residents, patients and employees. Green Tree will offer current Bethesda Meadow employees the opportunity to continue their employment with comparable benefits.
Joe Brinker, President & CEO of Bethesda, emphasizes that the decision to sell Bethesda Meadow was made after careful consideration by the Bethesda Board of Directors. “Bethesda Health Group remains dedicated to its mission of providing exemplary care for seniors, and this move underscores our commitment to operational excellence and long-term sustainability,” Brinker said. “We are confident that Green Tree Healthcare Management, with its proven history in skilled nursing communities, will ensure a seamless transition for employees and residents, maintaining a high standard of care.”
