Ready for Anything: Ken & Garie Perry’s Legacy

Ken and Garie Perry, residents of Bethesda Gardens, witnessed firsthand the profound impact the global pandemic had on their fellow residents and the dedicated Bethesda staff members they had come to know and love. They saw the emotional and physical toll it took on their community, as well as the immense pressure it placed on Bethesda as an organization.
Moved by what they experienced, Ken and Garie made a meaningful decision in the months following the pandemic. They chose to establish a Named Fund by donating a percentage of their Bethesda entrance fee, turning their concern into lasting support.
Through their generosity, they created The Ken and Garie Perry Readiness Fund, designed to help Bethesda remain prepared during times of crisis. The Readiness Fund provides support for critical facility repairs, state-of-the-art medical equipment and technology, and essential medical supplies such as gloves, gowns, and face masks.
By establishing this beautiful legacy gift, the Perrys are helping ensure that the future needs of Bethesda residents and patients are met and exceeded, with the highest quality of care. Their generosity helps safeguard the safety, health, and overall well-being of the Bethesda community for generations to come.
