Career Ladder Program

If you have a passion for caring for others, we can teach you the rest.

Step 1: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Employees are eligible to enter our career ladder program and receive training as a CNA apprentice. Bethesda will cover the full cost of the program, including coursework, materials and supplies.  You will be paid while you gain the clinical experience necessary to start a career in this exciting field. Upon passing the certification test and agreeing to work full-time as a CNA at Bethesda, you will earn a $1,000 bonus. After nine months working as a full-time CNA at Bethesda, you will earn a $1,500 bonus.

Step 2: Certified Medication Technician (CMT)

After six months as a CNA with us, you are eligible to receive training to become a CMT, including insulin certification. Again, all the training and materials are provided by Bethesda. Upon certification, you will receive a pay increase commensurate with your new skills.

Step 3: Tuition Assistance

We are proud to invest in your future. All benefit-eligible Bethesda team members qualify for our tuition reimbursement program, which helps relieve some of the financial burden of starting, finishing or returning to school. Full-time employees receive up to $4000 per year and part-time employees receive up to $2000 per year.

Asset 3

CNA Apprentice Program

Our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are on the front lines of the care and compassion we deliver to our residents. That’s why we spend so much time developing new ones right here in-house. Candidates may apply to be an apprentice and receive classroom instruction plus paid on-the-job training to become a CNA.

At Bethesda, you'll find a career in healthcare that offers on-the-job training and opportunity for career advancement.
