Alphonse D. Poelker

Senior Vice President, Long Term Care

Al began his career with Bethesda in 1986, and has served the organization as a Skilled Nursing Community Administrator and a General Manager of an Independent Senior Living Community prior to his current position.

In this role, he oversees the operations of Bethesda's three dedicated skilled nursing communities (Bethesda Dilworth, Bethesda Meadow and Bethesda Southgate), each of which has secured national accreditation by the renowned Joint Commission.

Al currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau. In addition, he has served on the Executive Board of the Missouri Association of Homes for the Aging (now known as LeadingAge of Missouri) as a vice president and as treasurer, and served on their Board of Directors from 1990-1996.
